Carlsbad Classic - hundredth of a second race - The two-day competition in which you
have vanquish in your classic car 250 kilometers. The route passes through famous,
so called spa triangle. The start and finish will be in Karlovy Vary, in Savoy
Westend resort - this already promise a unique experience for every classic car fan.
We know that European classic car scene offers many different competitions and it
won’t be easy for us to stand out and bring something new. We are aware about thev
level of domestic classic car shows and therefore we decided to prepare something
else for you - the Carlsbad Classic.
The first part of the race will be afternoon stage. We're not going to keep you calm
- you can expect exciting competition from very beginning. As soon as you will complete
the Friday’s stage, the noble welcome evening in the Savoy Westend Hotel will waiting
for us. We can talk, discuss the results and have a great time. The dinner and welcome
cocktail will be prepared for you and your accompaniment.
On Saturday we have prepared much longer track and more difficult measurement tests.
In total 150 km will be prepared for you on this date, the route leads through cozy
north-western Bohemia region and you will visit so called spa triangle - Karlovy Vary,
Mariánské Lázně and Františkovy Lázně. Part of this stage will be a lunch in the
beautiful environment of another spa town - Konstantinovy Lázně. During the race we
will prepare for you the measured tests - some of them will be announced and you will
have them in your road book, but some of them will be hidden.
The whole trip ends on a Saturday afternoon in Karlovy Vary, in the Savoy Westend Hotel
where the final ceremony and result announcement will be held.

I'm sure you know how to run a vintage car rally. Usually you have to drive two laps
in the measured area, as indicated by the diameter and show the smallest deviation.
This is a common practice. But we want to go beyond, to implement European classic
car rally practices . We have prepared a rally, where the deviation is measured in
hundredths of a second. Of course, that speed average will have its own weight, but
more important are measured sections and your accuracy when passing.
Here's an example of how this is done: you’ll come to the measured section and your task
will be, according to the roadbook, to ride 150 metres in a 15 seconds. You will see the
beginning of measured section, where you can’stop, but maybe you will not see the end of
the section. As soon as you will cross the beginning of the measured section, your
passenger start to measure, and your task will be to drive so precisely so you will
cross the end of the section exactly at 15th second. The whole race including the
sections will be measured in hundredths of a second - every hundredth of a second
deviation from targeted time is calculated as the penalty point. We prepared for you
variety of measured sections - from cross-country to downhill.
